EAR WAX REMOVAL METHODS
We offer two effective methods, MICROSUCTION and IRRIGATION. On initial consultation, we will investigate the level of ear wax build up and discuss about the most effective treatment. Each option will be explained thoroughly to you, allowing you to make a fully informed decision.
Ear wax removal by Microsuction:
What is MicroSuction
MicroSuction is the process of removing wax from your ears by using a small suction tube connected to a suction machine. We will insert the probe into the ear canal and gently suction the wax out.
Our clinicians use high magnification binocular operating microscope allowing depth perception and magnification to look directly into the ear canal.
Ear wax removal by Irrigation:
What is irrigation
Irrigation is done by a specialist medical unit which pumps a pressure-regulated flow of water into the ear canal. The water is temperature regulated and adjustable by the clinician to ensure safety and efficacy.
The regulated stream of water will gently dislodge wax blockages and draw it out of the ear.
